Mentoring for early childhood educators

It Takes a Village (ITAV) mentoring is structured to provide Early Childhood professionals with:

• a supportive, professionally facilitated space for staff to reflect on their current practice and interactions with families

• access to information and resources that will strengthen their family-centred practice

• opportunities to debrief and unpack challenging situations and practice issues

• skills and knowledge that will enhance capacity to provide a cohesive, professional and supportive environment for all staff, children and families

• opportunities to strengthen inclusive practices and increase knowledge of child development

• Strengthen existing and develop new strategies that recognise and respond to risk factors contributing to family stress and vulnerabilities

It Takes a Village (ITAV) is a free program offered to early childhood centres in Penrith and the Blue Mountains.
