Intensive support for families

Gateway’s family casework program is a free service providing in-home parenting support to families who live in Penrith and the lower Blue Mountains (up to and including Faulconbridge).

Professional referrals are not required - parents & carers can self-refer if they have concerns.

Supporting your family to meet their goals

Our goal is to work with families in a client focused strengths-based model. We encourage our clients to identify what is working well and support them to build on that and work towards identified goals.

Our family workers offer psycho-social education; educating parents about their children’s developmental milestones, assisting to develop routines and parenting strategies.

We also offer case management to assist clients to access the other important services that support themselves and their families, including:

mental health specialists
drug and alcohol support
domestic violence support
community health
child development assessments
